Trudy J. Rumann Heil is a retired Family Nurse Practitioner, Certified Legal Nurse Consultant and CEO/President of NP-Private Practice Associates, LLC (NP-PPA) in Scottsdale, AZ.  Born in Iowa to Jim and Mary “Jane” (Bousselot) Rumann, Trudy was raised on a 240 acre farm and attended elementary and secondary schools in a small community.

Trudy has been a registered nurse since 1972 after graduating from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Davenport, Iowa.  She is a 1985 BSN graduate of the University of Illinois, College of Nursing and a 1978 graduate of the University of North Dakota Medical School, Family Nurse Practitioner Program.  Also, she earned a BA degree from the University of St. Ambrose in Davenport, IA in 1982.  In 1994, Trudy earned a Master of Science degree from Arizona State University- College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation, Tempe/Phoenix, AZ.

In 1992 to 2005, Trudy became the first nurse practitioner employed by Marriott International to establish Marriott Occupational Health & OSHA Services inter-divisional clinic for the corporation based in Bethesda, Maryland.  From 2005 to 2016, Trudy established NP-Private Practice Associates, LLC, an entrepreneurial company, focused on providing office space and management support for independent Nurse Practitioner practice, delivery of bio-identical hormone and immunostimulation therapies, and legal nurse consulting services.  Trudy built a successful practice of 2000 patients showing a profit in 2 years; she retired from solo practice in 2012 and transitioned to paralegal and Legal Nurse Consultant services for the past 4 years.

Recently, Trudy was invited to present her clinical research findings on immunostimulation in a poster presentation at the V International Symposium Interaction of Nervous and Immune Systems in Health and Disease at the Institute of Experimental Medicine, St. Petersburg, Russia on June June 23-26, 2015.  On April 7th 2016, she presented another poster at the 2016 10th International Congress on Autoimmunity in Leipzig, Germany.  Then in June 2016,  Trudy presented a third poster at the AANP 2016 National Conference in San Antonio, TX.

Soon, on September 8, 2017, Trudy will speak at the 4th International Advanced Practice Nursing Conference in Freiburg, Germany on the topic: 21st Century Freedom and Autonomy in Practice: Protecting
Healthcare Freedom of Speech

Trudy has served six years as the membership chairperson for the Arizona Nurses Association-Chapter 9 state nurse practitioner council. Formerly, she served as the Treasurer for the Valle del Sol Chapter of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses.   Over the past 20 years, she has enjoyed serving as a medical missionary to Mexico, Spain, and Morocco for her church, as a volunteer NP at Neighborhood Christian Clinic and a volunteer BagMatter for Phoenix Rescue Mission.

Trudy resides in Scottsdale, AZ. She enjoys needlepoint, genealogy, BagMatting, and SCUBA diving.
